Your Fine Art Studio

A gallery of your own. A complete studio behind it.

Your Fine Art Studio public platform, introducing gallery creation and studio management

Custom software shaped around the working life of an artist.

Redstart built Your Fine Art Studio as a complete software-as-a-service application, or SaaS: a hosted platform artists use online to establish a gallery and manage the work behind it. Each studio has its own identity, collection, and business records, supported by one maintained application.

Born from a working artist’s needs.

The platform grew from Redstart’s engagement with S. A. Walton Studio. Presenting Susan Walton’s artwork also meant supporting commissions, purchases, publishing, customer relationships, and the practical administration of a studio. Those connected needs became the starting point for a product other artists could use.

The challenge was to make that depth repeatable while preserving the character of each practice. A painter beginning a collection and a gallery managing artists need different tools, but both need the artwork, its context, and the surrounding records to stay connected.

From an artwork record to an online gallery.

An artist begins with the collection: images, titles, dimensions, mediums, substrates, categories, and availability. Those records give visitors a searchable gallery and individual artwork pages, with an image viewer that lets them look more closely.

As the studio’s needs grow, its own branding, custom domain, service pages, and publishing give the collection a fuller home. A visitor can discover a work, read its story, ask a question, or enter a purchase path. The artist can keep customer and order information within the same studio application.

One application. A separate space for every studio.

Redstart built a custom multi-tenant architecture: one application serves many studios while keeping each studio’s records separate. Every studio has an independent PostgreSQL database and media storage area. A separate platform database manages studio identities, memberships, plans, subscriptions, and domains.

The application resolves which studio a request belongs to before opening its database. Studio-bound sessions and membership checks control access to that studio’s records; platform administration has its own authorization boundary. For artists, this means a gallery with its own identity and a working space belonging to their studio. For the platform, it means shared improvements can be maintained in one application.

Shared software. Separate studio records.

The work behind the gallery.

Redstart’s contribution spans the public experience and the software that operates it: Python and FastAPI application development, database boundaries, role-based access, studio administration, billing, integrations, and hosting. Features are organized around the actual work of presenting, selling, and managing art.

Presentation
Artwork records, galleries, individual work pages, branding, and custom domains give the collection a coherent public home.
Commerce and relationships
Stripe-connected sales, services, offers, discounts, orders, customer notes, and purchase history connect commercial activity to the studio.
Publishing and outreach
Blog posts, About content, FAQs, testimonials, search metadata, sitemaps, email templates, and workflows support the ongoing relationship with an audience.
Studio operations
Leads, projects, tasks, vendors, and supplies support work in progress; accounting and team tools extend the application for gallery operations. Import and export tools help administrators move existing records and media.

Start with a gallery. Grow into the tools you need.

The four plans reflect different stages of a practice. Free provides a display-only gallery for up to 50 artworks. Studio adds the broader website, online sales, and client tools. Professional adds leads, projects, vendors, and supplies. Gallery extends that foundation with accounting, unlimited team members, and private-label footer controls.

The paid plans offer subscription or revenue-share billing. These are two ways to pay for the selected plan, with the same plan features. Redstart built the plan and permission logic into the application so the available workspaces follow the studio’s membership and subscription.

Explore the gallery and studio experience.

The public site includes four demonstration studios that visitors can explore without signing in. The examples below show the Free gallery and a Studio artwork page. Both are fictional, with AI-generated artwork and demonstration transactions; they illustrate the product experience rather than real customer sales.

Artists manage their studio through a private administration area. Connecting Stripe, eBay, and email delivery requires setup; additional marketplace channels currently provide publishing previews. The public site provides the current options for starting a studio.

The result is a purpose-built application that connects an artist’s public gallery to the business behind it. Its value is in that continuity: the collection, customer relationship, and studio work have a shared home, while each artist retains a distinct presence.

From discovering a collection to choosing a work.

These fictional studios demonstrate the gallery and buying experience with AI-generated artwork. They show how the product works; no real sale is made.
